Westmoreland Glass Santa-On Sleigh. These limited production pieces were originally produced by The Westmoreland Glass Company over thirty years ago.
The one you will purchase here was made in Ohio using the original molds out of the Westmoreland glassworks. These molds are not machine friendly, so these pieces are still hand-crafted in a time-honored one-piece-at-a-time process.
There are only a few plants left in operation with the craftsmen trained to do this type of work--Summit, Boyd, Mosser, and Fenton are about it.
This piece is amethyst glass 5" tall, 5-1/4" long, and 3-1/2" wide.
